Harper tactics

Hmmm...be interesting to see how Boss Harp deals with this, since one of the spin lines used to delay the recall of the House was a desire not to be drawn into the Ontario election with a Throne Speech in the middle of it (although the same line of thinking did not stop them from presenting a budget in the middle of the Quebec election)...We'll see if that was just more partisan posturing if Calvert calls his...
Election call could be today
Saskatchewan residents will indeed go to the polls this fall, and an election call could come as soon as today as Premier Lorne Calvert is nominated in his Saskatoon constituency.

It should be noted that it will be the opposition parties that decides if there will be an election. Therefore it would be the combination of the LIEberals, NDP and Bloc that decides if there is going to be an election, not the Cons. As far as the Cons are concerned, this will be a confidence vote. Although it doesn’t matter much since the LIEberal dominated Senate does not pass bills that Parliament [all parties] has voted on and passed.

ONE SUCH BILL would raise the age of sexual consent from 14 to 16. Probably the LIEberals have no grandchildren at that age, no one knows. Mr. /Mrs. Anonymous who I am beginning to think it is the Author of HarperBizarro - has a daughter [in grade four about ten years old] and doesn’t mind if a person [in four years] decided to have sex with their child. If it does happen, one of the worst things that could happen to any child, Mr/Mrs Anonymous will be the first to be concerned about the freedom this monster would have with his/her daughter, and the law wouldn’t be able to touch this person. Mr/Mrs Anonymous would blame the government, that it didn’t have laws in place to protect Mr/Mrs Anonymous daughter. All the parties voted and said this is a good bill, yet the LIEberal dominated Senate thinks it is probably too radical. I would suggest that Mr/Mrs Anonymous contact DeYawn’s office and see if at least the LIEberals in the Senate would pass this particular bill to up the age of consent from 14 to 16. I wrote my MP on this matter and my concerns.
