Voice of reason

Stephane Dion sounded like the voice of reason this weekend when he noted that Liberals were not going to follow the Bloc lead and threaten an election before even seeing the Throne Speech. It is now up to Harper to prove he does not want an election.

Voice of reason? Do you actually think Dion is going to have anything nice to say about an opposition budget? That's not his job, agreeing with the opposition. It's just a politcal move. He doesn't want an election right now. And you know what he's going to say about the budget. Not a voice of reason but the voice of a politicain.

I think anonymous should learn the basic difference between a throne speech and the budget.

Irrespective of whether or not its a budget or a throne speech, Dion is posturing because of the pummelling he took in Quebec last week. He's being "reasonable" only because he has no choice.

That's your argument Joseph?

It was an error, however, the throne speech is a vague budget.

But my point doesn't change.

No, it was an observation. Perhaps you should learn the difference between observation and argument as well.

If I'm arguing with you, you'll know it. It the meantime, please chill. You're pretty worked up about a rather tame observation.

Dion has already laid out his list of demands, or he will vote NO.
How is that more reasonable than Duceppe laying out his list of demands or he will vote NO....?

Dion says that in order to guarantee Liberal Party support of the Throne Speech, the government must:

...Immediately inform NATO that Canada’s combat mission in Afghanistan will end in 2009
...Table the Clean Air and Climate Change Act in the next Parliamentary session
...Put forward a “real” economic plan
...Put forward a credible plan to address poverty

Just like DeYawn said about the last budget before details were even known? DeYawn, and the LIEberals, want an election? Can't see why. One look at the Quebec LIEberal web-page shows that they can't even keep it current.

"...Immediately informs NATO that Canada’s combat mission in Afghanistan will end in 2009"
This will show that Canada's work in Afghanistan was a mistake in the first place. The LIEberals got us into Afghanistan and now they want to give Canada an image of France - run at the first sign of trouble. If we leave to early - such as giving a date - then the enemy will just wait until our troops leave Afghanistan and then slaughter thousands of people. Canada is doing a great job there, and remember NATO and the UN requested we join them in Afghanistan. The LIEberals were so anxious to send them to Afghanistan that they sent them there with green combat uniforms and poor weapons – just like a LIEberal, it may look good – but to follow through is nothing but another lie. Like the NDP the LIEberals appear to show no respect for our troops and the mission they were sent on in the first place, SHAME on the LIEberals.
“...Put forward a “real” economic plan”
Let’s see: if LIEberals get back then DeYawn will bring back the dictatorship of the Canadian Wheat Board – in which they [the CWB] gave themselves a $1,000.00 “Christmas bonus” because of the stress they were under – while farmers in the West – who the LIEberals always hated – strive to make a living. If it is such a good deal for farmers why doesn’t DeYawn tell ALL farmers across Canada they will have to be under he CWB – if he had the guts to say this I would even vote for a stinking LIEberal in my ridding.
DeYawn would probably boost the one cent on the GST [Grits {sounds like *@its} Support Tory tax} that the Cons gave us. Perhaps in their greed raise it two cents.
“...Table the Clean Air and Climate Change Act in the next Parliamentary session”
DeYawn would send us back to the Stone Age by shutting down the country to meet “HIS” emission plans. I was happy to see the Auto workers get back to work – but under DeYawn he will shut down:
the auto industry – air pollution;
mining – ground and smelting pollution;
airports – air pollution and noise pollution;
kill all the cattle and wild life that produce green house gases;
cut down all the forests – they produce carbon;
DeYawn and the LIEberals will do their best to stop the sun activity from heating ALL the planets – not just the earth;
will have to stop all the electricity production in Canada that isn’t run by nuclear or water turbines – all other is air pollutants;
I would love to see this – force all Canadians to stop using transportation and walk or bike to destinations – at least the highways wouldn’t be crowded and very few deaths – except by heart attacks and winter peddling.
The oil industry – we will have to import from other countries, you think prices are high now – wait until we import oil. [The LIEberals would probably hire Canadian Steamship Lines – under the previous PM Paul M.] so he can contribute money to his LIEberal party.
DeYawn will try to get that terrorist and killer – who had a chance to surrender - out of Cuba so he can go free in Canada. The LIEberals had three years to do something about him – why do the LIEberals want to do something now? Answer – they “didn’t get it done.”
Lets see – the Cons got four of the biggest polluters to agree to fight pollution – USA, China, India, North Korea etc. to work on the problem. What has DeYawn done – nothing in his years in power to persuade these countries to recognize the pollution problem they are creating.
“...Put forward a credible plan to address poverty”
This is the biggest joke yet. I thought Cretchen already illustrated this when he gave a beggar $20.00. You may have noticed that none of his cabinet ministers gave the beggar anything – they were waiting for their own brown envelopes with money stolen from Canadian tax payers. That was the extent of helping the poor during their stay in power. LIEberals had all those years to do something – and they “didn’t get it done.”
You are suggesting that under DeYawn things will change? Not likely – all the LIEberals want under DeYawn is POWER. DeYawn had never known what it is like to be poor – and it seems to be true for a majority of LIEberals. They still owe millions to Canadians that was stolen under the previous LIEberals [Ad-scam] – are they ever going to pay it back? I understand that the LIEberal party is having difficulty in raising funds – perhaps because much of their money came in brown envelopes? They are so desperate that both Cretchen and Martin are writing LIEberals BEGGING their members to pay up or loose the next election – hopefully called in a few weeks. NOTE: DeYawn allowed those who stole from Canadians back into the LIEberal party – that is a real moral builder for Canadians.
So where is the “poor” LIEberal party going to get a plan to help the poor? Is DeYawn going to get Sgt. Pepper and tell him to put the poor into institutions? The LIEberals – and certainly DeYawn – do not care about the poor because they do not pay much in taxes or very little – therefore they [the LIEberals] have the idea that the poor can’t contribute to society. There are a lot of “poor” people who contribute to society in volunteering and working one or two jobs just to keep alive – sure they are taxed but not as heavy as the rich. There is more respect for the poor than any LIEberal that constantly set bad examples for Canadian children by their broken promises [or lies as I tell children, “A broken promise is a lie, and the LIEberals have perfected the art of broken promises.” From the first lie about abolishing/changing the GST to constant broken promises such as the green house emission reductions promised by DeYawn –or the LIEberal Party].
Should there be an election – YES.
Yet watch, DeYawn will flip-flop on this promise also because the LIEberal party is not ready. He doesn’t have enough women and friends to parachute into ridings without the grass root support like he did in Quebec.
YES, PLEASE bring on the election – then the LIEberals will not only be fighting the Cons but the Bloc and NDP – who are a little more radical than the LIEberals.
